Our Work
Amravati Devi Educational Society (ADES) works at the grassroots level to create opportunities for children, youth and women in rural and underserved communities, with a special focus on the Kol tribal communities of the Bundelkhand region of Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
Our work focuses on education, technical and vocational skills, women’s empowerment, healthcare, self-defence and livelihood development—helping communities build the knowledge and confidence needed for a better future.
Our Key Areas of Work
💻 Computer & Digital Education
Through the Vinoba Bhave Computer Training Centre, ADES provides practical computer and digital skills to rural youth, helping them prepare for employment, education and today’s digital workplace.
🔧 ITI & Technical Skill Training
ADES supports ITI-oriented technical and vocational training to help young people develop practical, employment-ready skills.
Training areas include:
- COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant)
- Electrician
- Fitter
- Plumber
- Other job-oriented technical skills
Our focus is on combining practical training with employability, enabling youth to pursue jobs as well as self-employment opportunities.
🧵 Women’s Skill Development
Through the USHA Silai School initiative, women from rural villages receive stitching and tailoring training. The programme aims to transform practical skills into sustainable livelihood opportunities and greater financial independence.
🥋 Martial Arts & Self-Defence
ADES promotes martial arts and self-defence training, with particular emphasis on rural girls and young women.

📚 Education & Competitive Exam Preparation
ADES provides opportunities for academic development, competitive examination preparation and career-oriented learning, helping rural youth prepare for higher education, employment and future opportunities.
🩺 Healthcare & Community Support
ADES works to improve access to essential healthcare through health camps and community health initiatives. Our initiatives have included support for cataract surgeries, affordable medicines and assistance to underserved communities.
🌸 Menstrual Health & Hygiene
ADES works with partner organisations to promote menstrual health and hygiene awareness and improve access to affordable, eco-friendly menstrual hygiene solutions for women and adolescent girls.
🤝 Community Development
We work directly with villages, families, local institutions and community stakeholders to understand community needs and develop practical solutions that create lasting impact.
